Hi,
Got my shield assembled and mounted, but I was wondering about the external power connection. I did not see much else where other than put voltage here across 1n4001. Does that also power the arduino? What is the voltage input there? Will it take 9vdc and/or up to 18vdc?

Re: Stomp Sheild
there is a header labeled BAT on the board next to the diode. you can either use a diode or not, it is optional, but a diode will protect the circuit if you attach a battery backwards. if you use a diode, just connect the external powersupply up to the BAT connection, with the positive side at (+). otherwise connect the positive up to the other side of the diode (near the D1 logo). the input can take from 9V to 18V in, but 9V is reccomended. the arduino and shield draw around 25 - 45mA, depending upon which board and such. so you should get about 9h or so from a 9V battery.
